What should I do if I'm seeing CSRF token errors?
If you're coming to this page, you're likely seeing an error involving a "CSRF token" and are being blocked from using Clef in some way.
Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) is a type of attack that occurs when a malicious Web site, email, blog, instant message, or program causes a user's Web browser to perform an unwanted action on a trusted site for which the user is currently authenticated.
At Clef, we have protections in place to limit this sort of attack and the error you're seeing means you're hitting one of these protections.
Here are some ways to fix this issue
- Try refreshing the page where you saw the error.
- Check your browser settings to make sure you have cookies enabled.
- Ensure that you only have one tab open to the page where you're seeing the error. If this doesn't work, make sure you only have one tab open to any Clef page.
- Restart your browser.
